For this assignment, I produced an exploratory drawing showcasing Tai Chi upon researching many aspects of the sport in depth. These include: culture, history, setting, equipment, time, and movement. My precedent for this drawing was a drawing by Andres Jaque for the Office for Political lnnovation. I learned a great deal, not only about a sport I did not have any prior knowledge about, but about different techniques for representation, both within the field of architecture and elsewhere. This project was in preparation for an upcoming design prompt for a community and recreation center.
