The second assignment of the second semester of third year was to perform a case study on a given deep plan building in order to better understand possible approaches to mass, void, daylight, structure, circulation, organization, and envelope for these types of plans, in preparation for a design prompt involving a deep plan site. A peer and I studied Dorte Mandrup's design proposal for the Anthony Timberlands Design Center. I personally completed an analysis of the approaches to mass, void, daylight, vertical and horizontal circulation and organization found in the proposal.  The key approaches that I determined are diagrammed below.
